Privacy policy statement for online applications

Protection and security of your personal data are important to us. We therefore wish to inform you below on the data protection principles which we are committed to uphold in order to ensure you a confidential application process.

Use of data in the applications management system

User accounts

Every user has to set up a user account for registration in the applications management system. A user account contains at least the following information:

• First name
• Surname
• Email address

User accounts are retained for a period of 6 months. After 6 months, the user is required to consent to the data protection statement once again. If consent is given, the account is retained for a further 6 months.If a user has an application in process when the retention period expires, the retention period is prolonged until that application procedure has been completed.

Application-related data
The answers you give and information you provide in the application phase are stored together with your name for up to three months after completion of the application procedure. Thereafter, the results are only stored in an anonymized form, i.e. without your name, for statistical analyses. Your identity is not traceable from this statistical record.

Accessibility of applicant data
If you have sent in a direct application for an advertised vacancy, your data will be made accessible to the department advertising the job and to the responsible human resources department. If you have sent a speculative application to us without reference to any particular job offer, your data will be made accessible both to the human resources departments of our enterprise and to the departments which have vacancies corresponding with your applicant’s profile.

The retention period for user accounts applies.

Recognition of previously unsuccessful applicants
Should your application not be successful, a recognition record is also stored. We need this record to identify you if you reapply for the same job. All your professional qualifications are deleted from this record.

The recognition record contains the following information:
• Surname
• First name
• Date of birth
• Email address
• Applicant number

The recognition record is permanently deleted after 365 days, or after only 180 days for applicants for trainee positions.

Simultaneous applications to several Group companies
Should an applicant apply simultaneously for several jobs at several different companies within the enterprise, the human resources departments concerned to which an application was sent will be informed of all parallel applications. The applicant must explicitly consent in a separate declaration to the passing on of this information. Your decision is voluntary and has no effect on application procedures which are already in progress.

Security in the handling of personal data
When your data are transmitted, they are automatically encrypted. The arrangements for data security are state of the art at all times.
